Key Responsibilities
- Providing outstanding clinical eye care service, from eye tests to enhanced services and advice.
- Working with the Manager to ensure clinics run smoothly.
- Regular meetings with the Director to improve the eye care quality for the company to become the best.
- Taking full responsibility for inspiring and coaching your colleagues.
- Understanding our products. Assist on giving good, clear advice and making a positive impression.
Key Requirements
You'll need to be registered with the General Optical Council as a fully qualified Optometrist.

We are looking for a Social media manager who will oversee Specscart's Social Media channels and shape our brand's digital presence. The ideal candidate should have a passion for storytelling, a deep understanding of social media trends, and, most importantly, demonstrate confidence in presenting on camera while creating engaging reels and videos for different platforms.

The position is situated at the Specscart Bury headquarters, requiring occasional travel to other stores for the purpose of generating in-store organic content.
What you'll be doing
- Creating Social Media strategy following a multi-channel approach to grow followers and increase engagement with our customer base prioritising Instagram and Twitter.
- Ensuring the social content calendar is constantly updated in-line with the business priorities and other marketing calendars.
- Proposing out of the box campaign ideas to drive customer engagement E.g. Podcasts, Live Chats, Snapchat etc.
- Constantly adapting to change within the social media landscape and being ahead of the game when it comes to new communication tools e.g. TikTok/Threads.
- Support Digital Marketing team on budget and ROI management across all social media channels and ensure targets are met monthly.
- Monitoring comments and engagement across social channels, engaging with customers in comments and DM's to drive community engagement.
- Measuring the effectiveness of the campaigns deployed and sharing recommendations.
- Identifying and engaging with relevant influencers and content creators for collaborations that align with the brand and marketing objectives.
Qualifying Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in social media management and content creation where you have been responsible for increasing social engagement.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creativity and a keen eye for visual design.
- Familiarity with analytical tools and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The Operations Manager position at Specscart is integral to guiding the company's growth. It is a comprehensive role that spans over various departments, including Customer Relations, Retail Management, Administration, Inventory and Procurement. This role is based out of Specscart Bury HQ. As a manager you will be leading a team through Specscart's expansion.
How will you contribute to the team-
- We listen, learn and understand the pain points of our customers. This helps us build life lasting customers.
- Provide training to staff members to clarify all aspects of optics, retail, production and quality customer relations.
- Work closely with delivery partners to address any logistical concerns and ensure timely delivery of orders. Liaising with them for disputes and reimbursements.
- Support and Coordinate with the lab team for efficient order processing and ensuring the turn around times are achieved.
- Schedule team members for optimal coverage, and actively manage the ROTA for the HQ. In busy times, the manager should step in to cover, maintaining the required team strength in the HQ, lab and across the stores.
- Manage and expand the overseas chat support team. Simultaneously creating a smooth sync between the entire team.
- Oversee cash control procedures and the maintenance of budgets.
- Make sure the Stock room is maintained to gold standard.
- Implement strong supply chain modules such as KanBan to challenge the team to a higher standard of delivery.
- Ensure that each department functions harmoniously, meeting the evolving requirements of the business and fostering growth.
About You-
- Whilst a college degree isn't mandatory. However, your knowledge on operations management, supply chain management through reading books would give an advantage.
- Substantial experience in operations management, preferably within the eyewear or retail industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges in production, distribution, and operational efficiency.
- A customer-centric approach, understanding the needs and expectations of consumers.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, with the ability to identify opportunities for operational enhancements and cost efficiencies.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with different departments, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Leadership skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
