Do Transitions® lenses turn dark while driving?
Transitions® GEN S and other photochromic lenses need UV light to react and car windshields are capable of blocking UV light. As a result, they don’t react inside cars. However, Transitions® XTRActive New Generation lenses can react to visible lights as well so they can turn dark while driving as well.
What is the difference between reaction and Transitions® lenses?
Photochromic/reaction lenses are the type of lenses that change colour from dark to light and vice-versa. Transitions® is a branded patented product of these photochromic lenses. Transitions® Opticals was the first company to manufacture photochromic lenses and obtain patents for their fastest light-adaptive formula.
How do I care for these lenses?
