Specscart Named Among the UK's Fastest-Growing Companies by the Financial Times

Content Manager
Specscart has been listed in the inaugural ranking of the UK's Fastest-Growing Companies 2026, published by the Financial Times in partnership with Statista. The list covers 150 UK companies that achieved the strongest revenue growth between 2022 and 2025. Specscart is the only eyewear brand included, which has made us the fastest-growing eyewear company in the UK on the list.
This follows Specscart's place in the FT1000: Europe's Fastest-Growing Companies 2026, which measured growth from 2021 to 2024. You can read about the Europe listing here.
What The List Measures
The FT and Statista ranked UK companies by how fast their revenue grew from 2022 to 2025. Those years were not easy for any business. The country was still recovering from the pandemic, and the energy crisis that followed the war in Ukraine pushed up costs for companies and households alike. The list includes fintech, software, energy and retail businesses, along with sectors such as construction and manufacturing that are often seen as mature. Eyewear belongs in that second group, and it has been dominated by a handful of long-established names for decades.
What Sits Behind The Growth
Specscart began as a university-born, bootstrapped eyewear brand, and we have questioned how glasses are priced and sold since the start. Our pricing is transparent, and we bring 2000+ premium, fashion-forward frames at up to 70% less prices than at high street opticians. Every pair comes with clear fully loaded lenses that include anti-glare, anti-UV, anti-scratch and impact-resistant coatings. On the high street, those coatings alone can cost close to £35, while £29.99 at Specscart buys a complete pair of prescription glasses with all of them included.
Each order also arrives with a hardshell vegan leather case, a microfibre cleaning cloth, a cleaning solution and a keychain screwdriver. Specscart dispatches orders for free within 24 hours as standard, except for complex prescriptions and varifocals. We have always focused on offering the best value to our customers, and they have ensured our growth in return with such impressive organic growth without any external funding so far.
What Comes Next
Specscart will keep working on the parts of buying eyewear that customers notice: faster delivery, clear pricing and frames people enjoy wearing. We thank every customer, supplier and team member who has been part of the journey so far.
